Are you a qualified automotive technician looking to give back to industry?
In this influential part-time casual contracted role, you will support automotive learners through their trade training journey.
We’re looking for someone who can inspire and encourage our apprentices, grow their confidence, and help guide their progress towards qualification in their field.
MITO supports on-job learning and career development for the automotive, commercial road transport, extractives, drilling, gas, and logistics industries.
We work with learners, their employers, and training providers to ensure people get the best possible opportunities to learn and advance their careers, while developing a skilled workforce for the industries we serve.
We’d like to hear from you if you have:
- An automotive and/or collision repair qualification and/or significant experience working in the industry
- Experience in mentoring and sharing your own trade training journey to inspire others
- The ability to build trust and strong working relationships with our learners and employers
- The ability to listen with empathy, and communicate clearly and effectively
- A strong interest in supporting others to achieve their qualification and career goals
- Excellent administrative, organisational, and computer skills
- The right to live and work in New Zealand.
Being trade qualified in New Zealand or having extensive experience in the automotive trade is a must. For all other elements of this role, training will be provided.
