  • Get paid while you train—no student loan!
  • MITO support throughout training with regular visits from your MITO Training Advisor to track progress and set goals
  • Extra support available including mentors, literacy and numeracy help, loan devices, and wellbeing services 
  • Off-job training if required when an assessment needs specialist gear or equipment

Employed and ready to enrol? 

If you're already working in one of our industries and your employer can support your training, you can enrol any time.

How signing up works:

  1. Your employer completes MITO's online enrolment form
  2. If everything looks good, we send you both a Training Agreement to sign
  3. Once we finalise all the paperwork, you're ready to start training!

Fees free

Starting training for the first time? You may be able to get Fees Free after you complete your first eligible qualification or programme.

Fees Free covers the cost of your fees for the final two years of work-based learning, up to $12,000.

What is an apprenticeship/traineeship?

A structured on-job training programme with supplemental eLearning that leads to a recognised qualification.

Who supports me?

Your workplace supervisor and a MITO Training Advisor, plus mentors and other services if you need them.

How long does it take?

It depends on your programme and workplace. Some micro-credentials can be completed within a few weeks, with other qualifications taking up to four years.

What does it cost?

Training fees vary by programme. 

MITO charges the employer an annual training fee* for each year of your apprenticeship or training programme, which covers all your training and assessment costs. It’s a good idea to discuss expectations with your employer before you sign up.

MITO's annual scholarship programme can help cover some or all of a programme's fees (subject to eligibility and availability).
