RockUp®

RockUp offers secondary school students the chance to earn a micro-credential that is approved by NZQA, credits towards NCEA, and a great introduction to the surface mining and quarrying industry. 

Get qualified with MITO

Supported by MITO, in partnership with secondary schools and local businesses, RockUp® has both eLearning and practical workplace learning. Completed unit standards can be used towards the next step in the MITO traineeship in the surface mining and quarrying industry.

Programme outline

Upon completion students will achieve the RockUp - Surface Mining and Quarrying Micro-credential. The micro-credential has been approved by NZQA and will be listed on the student's NZQA Record of Achievement.

Training fee

The fee for RockUp is $200+GST per student, per year. This covers the eLearning theory and practical assessment (managed by MITO) along with the support the school and students receive from sign-up to completion.

How does the student access eLearning?

The student must have a unique email address and access to an internet-enabled computer, tablet or mobile phone. After enrolment, the student will receive an email with their log-in details to MITO’s learning management system.
