The application deadline for MITO's 2012 scholarships has closed. The thirteen scholarship recipients will be annouced soon.
The scholarships were available in the motor and industrial textile fabrication industries. A new business skills scholarship has also been offered for people who want to complete MITO's First Line Management programme, and expand their business knowledge and team management skills.
Applications closed at 5pm on Friday 10 February 2012.
The School Leavers' Scholarship
Aimed at people leaving school and planning a MITO apprenticeship. Participation in MITO's StartUp® programme is not necessary, but a ‘can do' attitude and a willingness to learn are a must. Applicants also need to have been working in the industry for less than three months or have a formal offer of full-time employment. There are six scholarships available, each worth $1,000.

The ATech® Scholarship
Aimed at people who have completed a MITO Level 4 National Certificate and are keen to study for ATech® - MITO's elite training programme for people who want to work in advanced technical roles. There are three scholarships available, each worth $1,000.

The Graduate Scholarship
Aimed at someone who has completed a MITO Level 4 National Certificate and wants to do further training in some way, such as through another MITO qualification, international study or some practical experience overseas. There is one scholarship available, worth up to $3,000.

The Business Skills Scholarship
A new scholarship aimed at people who are employed in the motor or industrial textile fabrication industries to complete a National Certificate in Business (First Line Management) level 4 programme. There are three scholarships available, each worth $1,000.
