Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for an Industry Training Advisor (based in Taranaki or Whanganui) to provide support and mentoring to our learners and their employers across Taranaki through to Whanganui. A commitment to see learners achieve their qualification is paramount to your job satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Exemplary communication skills as you’ll be establishing working relationships with existing and potential clients
  • An ability to coach and mentor our learners to ensure they are focused on completing their qualification
  • A commitment to improving opportunities for people accessing industry training, including under-represented groups
  • Proven case management and sales skills
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and computer skills
  • An ability to work flexible hours
  • A clean drivers licence and the ability to travel with some overnight stays. A company car is provided for work purposes
  • An understanding of the tertiary education sector is preferred, but not essential.

We’re looking for a Finance Administrator (Accounts Payable) to join the Corporate Services Group at our national office in central Wellington. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the finance team, which includes managing accounts payable, processing debtor receipts, invoicing and credit control processes, responding to customer queries, and providing administrative support for managing MITO’s vehicle fleet.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in accounts payable processes
  • Demonstrable experience with complex spreadsheets and accounting packages (knowledge of Great Plains would be an advantage)
  • Demonstrable understanding of computer based financial management systems and financial reporting
  • Evidence of providing consistent levels of excellent customer support services and communicating well to all levels of the business
  • Strong computer skills in a Windows environment are essential
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, the promotion and adherence of health and safety practices.

This role has primary responsibility for conducting assessment of MITO learners working towards qualifications through training programmes that contain integrated assessment packages.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in the automotive sector
  • An in depth knowledge of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, specifically relating to industry training
  • Experience in the education sector conducting assessments
  • Exposure to quality control systems
  • Excellent analytical and reporting writing skills.

A Learning Designer opportunity exists in MITO’s Training Solutions Team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for reviewing existing and designing new assessment and support materials.

You will be an experienced instructional designer capable of efficiently and effectively producing innovatively-designed and well-written assessments.

To be successful in this role, you must be resilient, curious and a great communicator. It is desirable that you have experience in embedding adult literacy and numeracy into assessment materials.
