We’re looking for a Qualifications Developer to join the Qualification Group at our national office in central Wellington. This role is responsible for designing, developing and undertaking ongoing reviews of MITO’s New Zealand qualifications and assessment standards ensuring that consultation and industry engagement underpins quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in designing, implementing and managing New Zealand qualifications
  • Experience working with competency-based assessment (preferably unit standards)
  • Extensive project management experience
  • An in depth knowledge of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, specifically related to industry training
  • Experience in facilitating, or working with, industry groups.

We’re looking for an Industry Standards Assessor to join the Qualifications Group at our national office in central Wellington. This role has primary responsibility for conducting assessment of MITO learners working towards qualifications through training programmes that contain integrated assessment packages.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in the automotive sector
  • An in depth knowledge of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, specifically relating to industry training
  • Experience in the education sector conducting assessments
  • Exposure to quality control systems
  • Excellent analytical and reporting writing skills.

This role is responsible for ensuring that best practice applications are applied consistently to MITO’s quality assurance functions, including all assessment, moderation and consent to assess activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • An in depth knowledge of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, specifically relating to industry training
  • Experience in the education sector is essential, specifically at tertiary level
  • Experience in designing, implementing and managing quality management systems
  • Expert project management skills and relationship management experience.

A Learning Designer opportunity exists in MITO’s Training Solutions Team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for reviewing existing and designing new assessment and support materials.

You will be an experienced instructional designer capable of efficiently and effectively producing innovatively-designed and well-written assessments.

To be successful in this role, you must be resilient, curious and a great communicator. It is desirable that you have experience in embedding adult literacy and numeracy into assessment materials.
