Pro Auto is a specialist vehicle solutions business based in Rolleston, and we’re looking for a capable, hands-on person to join our team.
You don’t need to be a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
We’re more interested in what you can actually do.
You might have experience in automotive work, engineering, farming, fabrication, construction or another trade — or you might simply be someone who has spent plenty of time working on vehicles, machinery or your own projects.
The work can include:
- Vehicle accessory installation and fit-outs
- Removing and refitting vehicle trim and panels
- Running cabling and basic wiring
- Installing radios, communications equipment, cameras, GPS, lighting and switches
- 4WD and vehicle accessories
- Mounting equipment and components
- Assisting with specialist and commercial vehicle builds
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is confident using hand and power tools
- Has strong practical and mechanical ability
- Is comfortable working on and around vehicles
- Can take direction and then get on with the job
- Has good problem-solving skills and initiative
- Takes care and pride in their work
- Is energetic, reliable and keen to learn
- Holds a full NZ Driver Licence
Experience with automotive electrical work, 12V wiring, fabrication, engineering, machinery, vehicle accessories or 4WDs would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

- $25–$40 per hour, depending on skills and experience
