We are a large diesel mechanical workshop and are proudly Southland owned and operated. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.
As a key member of our Parts team, you will be responsible for supporting our workshop and customers by ensuring the right parts are sourced, ordered, and supplied when needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers and workshop staff with parts enquiries.
- Identifying, sourcing, and supplying truck, trailer, and automotive parts.
- Processing parts orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receiving, checking, and putting away incoming stock.
- Assisting with inventory control and stock takes.
- Maintaining a clean and organised parts department.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Working closely with your Parts Manager and the Service team to ensure parts are available when required.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a parts, automotive, or mechanical environment (preferred but not essential).
- Good knowledge of vehicle parts and components.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good computer skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- A great sense of humor and the ability to fit into a close-knit team environment.
