Job Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. You’ll work on a wide range of cranes and heavy plant, using modern equipment and supporting major infrastructure projects in New Zealand.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Work safely with cranes, trucks, and heavy construction equipment
• Use tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems correctly
• Apply workplace health and safety requirements
• Complete required MITO theory and assessments

What We Are Looking for:

• A strong interest in heavy diesel mechanics and engineering
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and good work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Good communication and literacy/numeracy skills
• NZ driver licence (restricted or full preferred)
• Pre-trade training or automotive study is an advantage but not essential.
