Due to an internal promotion, Hyster NZ is looking for an experienced forklift mechanic to join our team in Palmerston North.

The Role:

As a Forklift Service Technician at our Palmerston North branch you will ensure our clients materials handling equipment is serviced, maintained and operational to satisfy their needs. You will manage all aspects of forklift units from electric pallet jacks up to 48 tonnes reach stackers, giving you not only variety but exciting opportunities to learn. You will work autonomously and be responsible for ensuring that the jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

About you

* will be trade qualified (automotive trade qualification)
* have experience servicing and repairing forklifts and other material handling equipment
* enjoy the challenges of hydraulics & electric systems and are confident with schematics & components of those systems
* possess accurate and efficient work practices
* are proactive with Health & Safety
