Samantha Marfell
Samantha is having success as a MITO apprentice with Auto and Marine Electrics in Blenheim.
"MITO apprenticeships are great for all sorts of reasons! You get to work and earn money while you're learning. You work in an industry that will always have jobs - and you have a formal qualification that shows employers you have all the skills required, wherever you go in the world.
I also like the fact that it's hands-on - you don't have to sit in a classroom all day. And you learn from people with plenty of experience.
I really enjoy getting out and about with my work, meeting customers and doing all sorts of jobs, whether it's servicing a starter motor, wiring a stereo, or fixing a vehicle's air-conditioning system.
If you put the effort in, you get so much more out.
Next up for me is MITO's First Line Management programme - which will take me one step closer to running my own business one day!"
