MITO Business Administration Programme (Introductory Management, Business, and Computing)

The MITO Business Administration Programme is a 2-year programme for you to develop business, communication, and team-building skills and learn more about MITO's industries. The programme gives you the chance to gain two Level 3 national qualifications, as well as the MITO Limited Credit Programme in Automotive Administration, providing the opportunity for a broader understanding of the industry in which you work, and allowing you to gain credits towards the National Certificate in Motor Industry (Sales and Service) with strand in Automotive Service Reception (Level 3) and/or strand in Automotive Parts and Accessories (Level 3).

 

Who the programme is for?

The MITO Business Administration Programme is for anyone working within a technical or administrative team within MITO's industries.

You may have recently completed your apprenticeship. You may have been working in the industry for years. Whatever the case, this programme will:

  • give you the opportunity to develop your management, business, and computing skills
  • give you the opportunity to learn about the business in the motor industry
  • help you fulfil your career aspirations.

What the programme involves

We have designed the MITO Business Administration Programme to cover the widest possible range of workplace situations. The 2-year programme combines workplace experience with tutorial workshops and home study. It includes:

  • customised resource materials for the unit standards
  • a tutorial workshop approximately every second month for the duration of the programme.

Qualifications available through the programme

Through the programme you will gain two national qualifications:

  • National Certificate in Business (First Line Management) (Level 3)
  • National Certificate in Computing (Level 3).

You will also achieve unit standards related to knowledge of the motor industry that can be applied towards the National Certificate in Motor Industry (Sales and Service) with strand in Automotive Service Reception (Level 3) and/or strand in Automotive Parts and Accessories (Level 3).
