People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of:

  • motor vehicle paint coatings
  • paint ingredients and their application
  • paint manufacturers' testing requirements.

How will this unit standard be assessed?

You will be required to prove your theory knowledge of:

  • motor vehicle paint coatings, including their purpose, function, and range
  • different paint ingredients, their application, and their function
  • paint testing requirements.

This will involve completing a case study.
