What is this unit standard about?

People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of:

  • aluminium and vehicle aluminium alloy components
  • the procedures to repair structural damage on an aluminium alloy vehicle body
  • welding aluminium alloy vehicle body components.

No.

How will this unit standard be assessed?

You will be required to prove your theory knowledge of:

  • aluminium and vehicle aluminium alloy components including characteristics, properties, application and the effect of damage
  • the procedures to repair structural damage on an aluminium alloy vehicle body
  • welding aluminium alloy vehicle body components.

This will involve completing a case study.
