What is this unit standard about?
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of:
- the environmental impacts of motor manufacturing and disposal of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs)
- industry roles, responsibilities, and demands relating to ELVs
- procedures to recycle, dispose of, and scrap ELVs.

How will this unit standard be assessed?
You will be required to prove your theory knowledge of:
- the environmental impacts of motor manufacturing and disposal of ELVs and industry roles, responsibilities and demands relating to design, production, recycling and scrapping
- procedures to recycle, dispose of, and scrap ELVs.
This will involve completing the following types of assessment:
- case study
- workplace exemplar.
