What is this unit standard about?

People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of:

  • the environmental impacts of motor manufacturing and disposal of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs)
  • industry roles, responsibilities, and demands relating to ELVs
  • procedures to recycle, dispose of, and scrap ELVs.

How will this unit standard be assessed?

You will be required to prove your theory knowledge of:

  • the environmental impacts of motor manufacturing and disposal of ELVs and industry roles, responsibilities and demands relating to design, production, recycling and scrapping
  • procedures to recycle, dispose of, and scrap ELVs.

This will involve completing the following types of assessment:

  • case study
  • workplace exemplar.
