What is this unit standard about?

People credited with this unit standard are able to:

  • assist staff with service and/or repair work in the motor or related industries, and monitor their work standard
  • analyse, interpret, and provide technical information to staff
  • facilitate continuous education of self and others.

How will this unit standard be assessed?

You will be required to:

  • assist staff with service and/or repair work and monitor their work standard offering technical assistance as required
  • analyse, interpret, and provide technical information to staff and teach them how to do this for themselves
  • facilitate continuous education of self and others, identifying and promoting training opportunities.

This will involve completing the following types of assessment:

  • workplace exemplar
  • workplace report.

Special tools and equipment or range of work required

You must be able to supervise other technical staff in the workplace.
