Purpose and content of the National Certificate
Purpose:
This certificate is designed as a qualification for those persons who are in the coachbuilding sector of the motor industry. Holders of this certificate will be able to: interpret vehicle drawings and plans, measure, mark out, alter, and make and fit framing, panels, and components according to specifications, and repair components and panels, and carry out general coachbuilding duties.
There are three strands of Coachbuilding and unit standards must also be completed in the chosen strand:
