Purpose:

This certificate is designed as the national qualification for those persons working in the Automotive Engineering sector of the motor industry. Holders of this qualification are able to inspect vehicles for mechanical, electrical and electronic faults; and diagnose and rectify faults in mechanical, electrical and electronic components on vehicles.
