Increasing the literacy and numeracy skills of the workforce is a key government priority.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential for work, learning and life.

Together with Workbase, MITO has developed a series of Literacy Profiles. The profiles can be used to:

• Provide you with an understanding of the literacy and numeracy demands of occupations in the automotive industry
• Help you determine what career is right for you
• Help inform teachers and career advisors of the literacy and numeracy requirements for particular occupations
• Inform employers of the literacy and numeracy demands of the job.
