Entry level qualifications

People considering entering the industry can get a head start and gain core skill and knowledge by completing either of these training options:

• StartUp – a new automotive training programme designed to assist your business' future.
• Entry to Automotive Trades or Entry to Motor Body Trades (Level 2). Also Known as pre-trade, these entry level certificates are provided by Polytechnics and Private Training Establishments and can take six to twelve months to complete. Contact us for the providers in your area.

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship combines on-the-job, practical training with off-job theory.

You'll have the opportunity to achieve Level 3 and 4 National Certificates in a variety of specialty areas - while you work. So, while you're getting paid and learning great skills on-the-job, you're also gaining a formal qualification.

Many of today's top people in the motor and industrial textile industries began their career as an apprentice.
